I had a feeling the wife killed her husband, but I never would of guessed she had the other husband help。 And then she had the nerve to go and kill him because she was scared he would tell someone what they did。 I hope there’s a second book to this story, I would love to see how “Roger” plays out with what he wants to do to expose her lies。

Pratikshya Mishra,
Such twists and turns。 The one we had not given much heed to, underestimated character, was calling the shots。 I had a great time listening to the audiobook from Netgalley。 Interesting read。 Hooked at every turn of a chapter。 When we come to know about who had done it and why, the rest of the story was about how。 And that itself was so intriguing。 Infidelity can be dangerous。

Disappointed Disappointing。 Everything was fairly obvious throughout the book。 Characters were not very likable and ending was terrible。 It may have had some potential but didn't get there at all。 Disappointed Disappointing。 Everything was fairly obvious throughout the book。 Characters were not very likable and ending was terrible。 It may have had some potential but didn't get there at all。 。。。more

5star as always 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Where has Daniel Hurst been all my life! Really can't get enough of his books。 I love his ability to write in POV of female characters, he seems to do it effortlessly。 Yet another intriguing story that kept me hooked from page 1。 I tried to save this book because I've read all his books already but I just couldn't wait any longer。 5star as always 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Where has Daniel Hurst been all my life! well written entertaining read! I really enjoyed this book and the storyline。 It was well written, and the characters were great。 Spiked alert; sometimes it’s fun to read a story that appears the real villain thinks they get away with murder…

predictably boringI kept skipping chapters until I read a few pages and then skipped more pages。 The end was also not a surprise。 There was no way Alice would stay in prison。
Amanda,
A pulls you in from the start fast-paced book, lots of twists that I didnt see coming but outside of the twists exactly what I expected。 Which is NOT a criticism at all!! A great story and one that I would definitely recommend 。 Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read an ARC from a great author

“The Doctor’s Wife” is the first novel by Daniel Hurst that I have read。 It will not be my last! He clearly knows how to write a fast paced and intriguing thriller。Right off the bat, our story starts with the “appearance of a body in an unexpected place。” We know as soon as we start the book what will happen。 What we do not know are the events that will lead up to this event, nor do we know why。 The readers already know what will happen in this book, so I am not sure why the author chose to reve “The Doctor’s Wife” is the first novel by Daniel Hurst that I have read。 It will not be my last! He clearly knows how to write a fast paced and intriguing thriller。Right off the bat, our story starts with the “appearance of a body in an unexpected place。” We know as soon as we start the book what will happen。 What we do not know are the events that will lead up to this event, nor do we know why。 The readers already know what will happen in this book, so I am not sure why the author chose to reveal this so early on。 Personally, I would have rather it not even been included。 Our story is told from alternating points of view of Drew and his wife, Fern。 The couple had just relocated from bustling city of Manchester to a quiet village of Aberness, near the Great Britain and Scotland border。 Drew promised that he would feel less stressed working as a doctor in a smaller setting and would have more time to spend with his wife。 Despite how beautiful their new house and village will be, Fern is a “city girl” but has to go along with the move。 On the outside, Drew and Fern would seem to be a perfect couple。 Drew is arrogant, loving to refer to himself as DOCTOR Drew Devlin。 Fern loves that he is a doctor, not only for his paycheck, but also for the convenience of having a doctor at hand。 Drew may think that his wife is a pushover, and doesn’t know his TRUE reason for wanting to move to Aberness, but it is clear he underestimates her。I do not want to reveal too much more of the plot to say that this author has done an excellent job of writing characters who are NOT likable at all。 They are very much unreliable narrators but in a good way! It adds to the thrilling part of this psychological thriller and helps to drive the pace along。 I definitely will be reading more of Daniel Hurst’s books soon if they are as fast paced, twisty, and thrilling as this one! I also must say that I loved the two narrators。 Having the right voice actors can make or break a book, and this book has two excellent ones。 Thank you NetGalley, Daniel Hurst, and Bookouture Audio for an advanced copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest opinion。 。。。more

This book is fantastic! The plot twists are epic。 It’s the kind of book that sticks with you & I’ve been thinking about it since I finished it。 Fern is incredibly clever & such a great character! This was my first Daniel Hurst book & it won’t be the last!

Getting away with murderHurst does it again。 While it is hard to sympathize with any of the characters, the story line will grab the interest of anyone who falls in love too deeply to ever say goodbye。
Hannah🫧,
It is so bad, I want to give you a zero, but that’s not possible so I give you a 1。🤡this book was so boring & not thrilling at all。 What I wanted was a quick & easy thriller but what I got was quite the opposite。 It was so predictable & corny。 & despite its raving reviews & comparisons to “The Housemaid” it doesn’t compare or even come close。 At all。
Ms。 Giddy Gaddy,
Love it!First Daniel Hurst book I read and it did not disappoint。 This indeed is a page turner。 While I liked how the story was told, I just can't help thinking why it resulted that way when they can just sue the other and leave them behind bars。 No violence, that's all。 :) Love it!First Daniel Hurst book I read and it did not disappoint。 This indeed is a page turner。 While I liked how the story was told, I just can't help thinking why it resulted that way when they can just sue the other and leave them behind bars。 No violence, that's all。 :) 。。。more

A quick interesting read! This is the authors first book that hadn’t gripped from the start。。 just as I was about to give up the novel picked began on its true story arc。 Predictable, yes。 However, the last half of the boom caught my attention and held me through the end? Will Feen be found out? Hopefully we’ll find out in a sequel…
the great gretsby,
very entertaining and a real page-turner, despite being quite predictable for the most part。 bonus points for the manchester accent in the audiobook!
